Date and Time:
Wednesday, November 5, 2025, starting at 19:00 Eastern Standard Time Download Calendar File
Speaker(s):
John Shavinsky
Brief Description:

John Shavinsky, the host of the podcast Five Minute Better Pilot, presents live an expanded discussion of some of the topics on the podcast. Flight instructors and pilots alike will find the lessons learned interesting and relevant to issues in aviation today. The podcast is geared toward pilots, but this presentation elaborates on some of the podcast topics and focuses them on the training environment. For example, how do you use personal minimum checklists with your learners as a training tool? Are your learners really prepared to handle an in fight upset event and what can instructors do to prepare them better? These topics, and more, will be on the menu for this session and, if nothing else, will give you some  to be a better pilot, and a better instructor.
