Title:
Western NY CFI Open Forum
Topic:
Providing Adequate Instruction and Helping Students Learn
Speaker(s):
RICHARD MIDDAUGH, CFI and FAASTeam Rep.
Brief Description:
The Aviation Instructor’s Handbook lists 5 professional responsibilities common to all aviation instructors. Our forum on Teaching Emergencies was obviously directed to our responsibility to ensure aviation safety. Unless we don’t fly at all, our flight operations will always carry elements of acceptable, unidentified, and residual risk. So, we can’t guarantee absolute safety, but we can do much to ensure an acceptable level of risk. This quarter, we’ll be discussing our professional responsibility to Provide Adequate Instruction and to Help Students Learn and Providing Adequate Instruction.
