Brief Description:
Improper or missing safety wire and cotter pins continue to be cited in NTSB accident reports. This seminar reviews real-world accidents where overlooked safety wiring contributed to loss of control or power. Attendees will learn proper safety wire practices, common mistakes to avoid, and how to recognize hazards during preflight inspections and maintenance checks. The emphasis is on prevention: the small details matter!
