MSY Pilot/Air Traffic Controller Forum - Meet the Voices Behind the Mic
Topic:
MSY Air Traffic Control Introduction, Facility Tour and ATC Presentation
Date and Time:
Tuesday, September 23, 2025, starting at 18:00 Central Daylight Time Download Calendar File
Speaker(s):
Laennec Ratard, Chris Rogers FAASTeam Rep & MSY Operations Supervisor
Brief Description:

Due to limited space pre-registration is required.

The Pilot/Controller Forum is a unique opportunity for pilots to meet some of the controllers they hear on the radio, learn more about local ATC procedures and gain valuable insight into how the Tower and Approach operate. This face to face event will help strengthen communication, build trust, and foster collaboration between pilots and controllers - making the skies safer and more connected for everyone.

Attendees will learn about Air Traffic Control Procedures in and around the New Orleans Class Bravo Airspace, ATC expectations, how to get what you want or need from ATC, what controllers like and don't like to hear, and why proper phraseology matters.

A tour of the Tower and RADAR will be available following a PowerPoint Presentation.
