Marty King, 2024 National Maintenance Technician of the Year for General Aviation
Brief Description:
This presentation will focus on aircraft control cables and how they work. Special emphasis will be given to the inspection, adjustment, lubrication and replacement of control cables.
Marty King started as an aviation apprentice in 1968 at the age of twelve. While in high school, he was the only sophomore ever allowed into a senior auto mechanics program in the history of Elkhart High School, where he overhauled an A-65 Continental engine. Marty soloed on his 16th birthday with over 100 hours of dual instruction, including aerobatic training.
Marty has received numerous awards for his work in aviation maintenance, including the prestigious Charles Taylor Master Mechanics Certificate in 2023 and being named the 2024 National General Aviation Maintenance Technician of the Year.
This is a one-hour seminar.
