Brief Description:

Join Mary Kuehn, CFII and AOPA Air Safety Institute FIRC Program Manager, for a deep dive into a real-world accident involving a VFR pilot and summer-time thunderstorms. This will be an interactive, seminar-style analysis of the chain of events, the pilot's decisions and the critical lessons all aviators can take away to improve their own safety and judgment.

The seminar will be hosted by the AOPA Air Safety Institute on Monday, July 21, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. until 12:45 p.m. CDT. Please join us in the AOPA Program Pavilion at Booth 463 across from the Brown Arch. Be sure to allow plenty of time for parking, the admissions process, and walking to the AOPA booth.
