Date and Time:
Friday, May 16, 2025, starting at 11:30 Central Daylight Time Download Calendar File
Speaker(s):
Steve Anderson
Brief Description:

This session will provide advice and observations that will help both recommending CFIs and applicants understand how to better prepare for successful initial CFI and add-on CFII practical tests.  As a potential flight instructor it is imperative that you put the safety of any lessons as a first priority.

Dr. Steve Anderson has been an active professional aviation educator since becoming a Flight Instructor in1985. In 1989, he became a professor in the aviation program at St. Cloud State University (SCSU) where he still teaches in the Honors and Developmental Education programs, often teaching courses with aviation-based themes to cover science and technology topics. Shortly after starting at SCSU, Dr. Anderson became an FAA Safety Counselor (now FAA Safety Team Representative) and continues to serve in that role today. Selected as a FAA Designated Pilot Examiner in 1999, he continues to conduct ASEL Private, Instrument, Commercial, initial CFI, and add-on CFI practical tests.
