Course Summary:

The Instrument Currency Mastery Program offered by Aviator.nyc is a comprehensive training program designed for FAA instrument-rated pilots who aim to maintain and enhance their instrument flying skills.

This activity utilizes the advanced G1000 Flight Simulator (AATD) and in-aircraft training to provide pilots with a well-rounded instrument proficiency experience. By aligning with the latest revision of the FAA-S-ACS-8 requirements, this program ensures pilots meet the necessary standards for an Instrument Proficiency Check (IPC).

Course Details:

Pilots can accomplish nine out of ten requirements listed in the ACS for an IPC using Aviator.nyc's AATD. A minimum of three hours will be spent in the G1000 Flight Simulator, where pilots will engage in various tasks, including several approaches, tracking and intercepting courses, holding, and handling unusual attitudes. The remaining requirements must be completed in the pilot's own aircraft with Aviator.nyc instructors.

The following IPC tasks can be completed in the AATD:

  1. Several Approaches
  2. Tracking and intercepting courses
  3. Holding
  4. Unusual Attitudes

The following IPC tasks must be flown in YOUR aircraft:

  1. Circling Approach (SE/ME IPC)
  2. Landing from a Straight-in or Circling Approach (SE/ME IPC)
  3. One Engine Inoperative During Straight-and-Level Flight (ME IPC)
  4. One Engine Inoperative Instrument Approach (ME IPC)

To ensure compliance with the latest FAA-S-ACS-8 requirements, Aviator.nyc's experienced instructors will guide pilots through the necessary training and evaluations.

Instrument currency goes beyond meeting regulatory requirements; it focuses on maintaining proficiency and ensuring safety in instrument flight. By participating in Aviator.nyc Flight Training, pilots will have the opportunity to enhance their skills and knowledge in instrument flying.
