Land Survival
(LST1)
This Survival Systems USA program addresses the risks associated with post aircraft accident travel through remote areas by providing personnel with wilderness knowledge and survival skills.
CONTENT (Academic & Practical)
- Presentation on hazards, equipment, and procedures associated with outdoor survival
- Survival psychology
- Survival patterns hyper/hypothermia mitigation
- Understanding of topography
- Equipment and clothing requirements
- First Aid and medical scenarios
- Location and construction of shelters
- Rescue signaling
- Fire construction techniques
DURATION
Eight (8) Hours
LOCATION
This course is conducted in Groton, CT where participants are subject to New England seasons.
This course may also be conducted by our team traveling to your location and providing all the required curriculum and training equipment.

None
SCHEDULING
Training calendar seats are booked on a first come, first serve basis. Select training date(s) of choice.
ADMINISTRATION
Participants will be required to show valid government ID and complete a Student Registration Form which incorporates an acknowledgement of risk, statement of health, and general liability release for training.
CERTIFICATION
All participants who complete the full program in accordance with the learning and performance objectives receive a Survival Systems USA course completion certificate.
AGE REQUIREMENTS
Participants under the age of 18 require parental consent. Participants under the age of 12 may audit the course under the direct supervision of a guardian not involved in training.
