Aviation Survival & Egress Presentation
This Survival Systems USA presentation only program addresses the risks associated with frequent travel over or near water by providing pilots, aircrew, and passengers with basic pre-flight, in-flight, and post aircraft ditching knowledge.
CONTENT (Academic Only)
- Hazards, equipment, and procedures associated with over-water flight
- Pre-ditching procedures and landing considerations
- Surface evacuation from a floating and submerging aircraft using emergency exits
- Underwater escape principles
- Surface water survival via group and personal hypothermia mitigation (Life vest and raft)
- Search and rescue devices and procedures
DURATION
One (1) Hour
LOCATION
Groton Training Center, Groton, CT
Presentations occur at locations throughout the continental United States.
PREREQUISITES
None
SCHEDULING
These FREE presentations take place on a periodic basis. Calendar seats are booked on a first come, first serve basis.
ADMINISTRATION
Participants complete a Student Registration Form.
CERTIFICATION
All participants who complete the full program in accordance with the learning and performance objectives receive a Survival Systems USA course completion certificate.
AGE REQUIREMENTS
Participants under the age of 18 require parental consent. Participants under the age of 12 must be under the direct supervision of a guardian.
