Safety seminar on Advanced Flying Techniques and Procedures for General flying and Backcountry flying. Presented by "CC" Milne Pocock of Bush Air.

Time: 9am - 11am

 

The objective of this seminar is to make all attendees aware of safer and better flying techniques and procedures for the safe operation of light fixed wing aircraft in general everyday flying as well as in the backcountry.

 

Subjects will include:

  • Pre-flight and Pre-take-off & Pre-landing.
  • Familiarization, test flying and exploring the flight envelope of the aircraft. (Getting to know your aircraft). 
  • Optimum performance take-off's, stabilized approaches and landing's.
  • Short take-off & landing (STOL) and hot and high operations.
  • Mountain flying basics.
  • Bad weather mountain flying ("Scud running") and controlled flight into terrain (CFIT).
