Aerodyne Flight Center Initial Training Course for pilots in their Piper Malibu, Matrix, Mirage, and Meridian aircraft, their Twin Cessna 310, 340, 414, 414A, 421B, 421C aircraft, their Cirrus SR20 and SR22 aircraft, and their Columbia/Lancair aircraft at our Scottsdale AZ location or we will travel to your home base. Emphasis on realistic scenario based training to develop a higher order of thinking skills. Improve pilot learning to safely and competently operate technically advanced aircraft.
This is the 5 Day Initial Course Syllabus for one specific airplane consisting of 16 hours classroom time and 8 hours flight training in your aircraft:
Day 1 Classroom:
Normal Procedures
Aircraft General
Powerplant and Propellers
Electrical
Performance and Weight & Balance calculations
Day 1 Flight:
Preflight, start, taxi, before takeoff checklists
Normal and crosswind takeoffs
Steep Turns
Power off stalls and recoveries
Power on stalls and recoveries
Slow flight
Diversion and VFR traffic pattern entry
Normal and crosswind landings
Go-around
Systems and Emergency Procedures during any airborne phase, All Flights
Day 2 Classroom:
Hydraulic (if applicable)
Fuel
Pneumatic (if applicable)
Pressurization (if applicable)
Environmental
Flight Controls
Day 2 Flight:
Powerplant failure (simulated) prior to rotation
Maximum performance takeoff
VFR cross country flight up to 1 hour duration
View limiting device:
Basic Attitude Instrument flying. Unusual attitudes and recoveries
Emergency descent
Simulated powerplant failure enroute
Day 3 Classroom:
Landing Gear
Anti and De-Ice Protection
Navigation Equipment
Communication Equipment
Auto Pilot and Flight Director
Flight Instruments
Warning Systems / Alert Systems
Day 3 Flight:
IFR cross country flight up to 1 hour duration in actual or simulated instrument conditions
Departure, Enroute, Arrival procedures and landing from a precision approach
View limiting device: Intersection hold, DME arc
Then a circle to land non precision GPS approach
Day 4 Classroom:
Fire Protection (if applicable)
Oxygen (if applicable)
Lighting
Emergency Equipment
Emergency Procedures Checklist

Day 4 Flight:
View limiting device: Full ILS approach, missed approach and hold as published
Depart hold for a partial panel full VOR approach to a landing
Day 5 Classroom:
FAR/AIM (where applicable)

Advisory Circulars and FAA Wings Program introduction
Course Review
Final Written Exam and Critique
