Description:

General Aviation Insurance Specialist and Lead FAASTeam Rep Jim Anderson details aircraft, pilot and renter pilot insurance considerations for adequate protection and coverage.  A discussion of when coverage may be denied and why, and how to avoid these types of financially costly situations.  Essential information if you own, fly or rent an aircraft.

Many accidents occur in good weather during the approach phase ending up short of the runway?  Why? We'll discuss a sampling of NTSB final reports that determine main causes - the results are often surprising.

Finally, we'll review how to accurately determine crosswind component in flight - the easy way - without a chart or computer.  You'll always know how much crosswind to expect.  Other useful tools for safer, more enjoyable flying will be covered too!
