"Decoding Automated Weather and Pilot/Controller Forum - Flagstaff Airport (KFLG) ATCT Tower"
Saturday, March 8, 2025 09:00 Arizona

Located at:
Wiseman Aviation FBO
2650 W Shamrell Blvd

Flagstaff, AZ 86001

Description:

This three-hour safety seminar will begin with a one-hour seminar on ATIS/AWOS, covering how it works—and how it sometimes doesn’t. We’ll explore system limitations, common errors, and best practices for pilots relying on automated weather information.

Following the seminar, the two-hour Pilot/Controller Forum will bring together representatives from local flight schools, the KFLG Air Traffic Control Tower, Phoenix Approach, and the FAA Safety Team. This forum provides a platform to discuss safety concerns, address common mistakes, and improve communication between pilots and controllers.

Pilots of all experience levels are encouraged to attend. Bring your questions for an open Q&A session with tower representatives!

This event is in person with limited seating—please register in advance!
