Desi Ekstein, is an Adjunct Instructor of Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) also known as Drones.  She is known in the Unmanned Aviation Industry as “Drone Diva Desi”.  She is a FAA Certified 107 Remote Pilot in Command (RPIC), FAA UAS/Drone Safety Representative in San Diego, AUVSI San Diego Board member as well as a AUVSI TOP Level 3 pilot.   She is a UAS Operations instructor at TCI Mira Costa College.   Desi is also involved with many STEM/STEAM and other outreach programs such as, Elementary Science Institute (EIS) “Girls Take Flight” as part of a young female STEM program.
