Date and Time:
Thursday, January 23, 2020, starting at 18:00 Eastern Standard Time Download Calendar File
Speaker(s):
Leo Berube CFI / CFII / MEI, Eric Barnhill IA / A&P
Brief Description:

In this presentation we will discuss one aspect of ADM: dealing with distractions and interruptions - two hazards that we need to manage whenever we’re walking, driving a vehicle, or flying a plane.

We will cite some statistics on distracted driving and discuss how distraction led to the loss of an airliner.

We will also talk about interruptions – a type of distraction that can be a significant hazard when it occurs in a critical operational phase.

We will offer some suggestions and best practices for dealing with distractions and interruptions.
