Brief Description:
This event will introduce attendees to the basics of the self-brief preflight weather briefing using the 1800WXBRIEF Web site and the GFA tool. Using these tools you can learn to look for hazards in an efficient manner, including TFRs and NOTAMS for destination and alternate airports. This portion of the event will be about 30 minutes in length. Wings credit is available for this topic.
The event will also include a short safety presentation on the topic of Regulatory Reform for Aircraft Certification. Wings credit available. Please register separately for wings credit by registering for the topic of Regulatory Reform. This topic will be approximately 30 minutes in duration.
Both topics will occur between 8:30 AM and 9:30 AM.

Location: Special Services Corporation Conference Room
Drive-in: From 385: proceed south on Haywood Road past the Haywood Mall and past Chick-Fillet. Turn right (west) on Airport Drive for approximately 2000 feet. Continue straight onto Opportunity Place and follow Opportunity Place as it curves right to the first hanger on the right. The conference room is in the Northwest corner of that first hanger. Parking is available in front of the building.
Fly-in: Taxi to the southeast ramp, taxi past the first hanger on the right to the second hanger on the right.The conference room is in the Northwest corner of that second hanger. Tie downs may not be available.
