Title:
Are Drones a Threat to Your Next Flight? (Seminar)
Topic:
Join us to learn about the potential threats drones post to commercial aviation. Is it reality or hype?
Date and Time:
Thursday, April 11, 2019, starting at 10:00 Pacific Daylight Time Download Calendar File
Speaker(s):
Dr. Kristy Kiernan
Brief Description:

We have heard plenty of hype lately about the threats that drone activities pose to commercial air travel. But what is the reality? Are drones a legitimate risk to the traveling public, or are they just an easy target during a slow news cycle? In this webinar, we will look at the facts surrounding commercial air travel, drone regulations, and safety data, as well as research on drone sightings and actual flight behavior to understand the threat profile of drones in the national airspace.

We will also look at countermeasures to mitigate threats. At the end of this webinar, you will understand the real risks to commercial aviation associated with drones, and the real ways we can reduce that risk.

The 60-minute complimentary session will conclude with a moderated live Question and Answer period.
