Title:
Why do good pilots make bad decisions?
Topic:
AOPA Air Safety Institute - Why do good pilots make bad decisions?
Date and Time:
Saturday, May 19, 2018, starting at 15:15 Central Daylight Time Download Calendar File
Speaker(s):
AOPA Air Safety Institute Presenter
Brief Description:

AOPA ASI will review several recent accidents and the elements surrounding them and discuss why good pilots made decisions that ended tragically. Richard McSpadden will rely on research from the book “Think Again”, which dissects the way the brain makes decisions. He’ll lead the audience through some shortfalls of how the brain makes decisions and the implications of those shortfalls in aviation. Finally, he’ll lead the audience through an exercise to “identify” and mitigate red flags which could lead to poor decision making.
