Brief Description:

Join us for a talk about how to spread your wings beyond the local area, beyond country borders, beyond our continent and south of equator.

Thomas Daniel is a CFII at West Valley Flying Club and he just returned from a 9,000-mile cross-country flight to Colombia and Ecuador in a Cirrus SR22, with stops in Mexico, Guatemala, Costa Rica and Panama. He will talk about crossing international borders, flight plans, fuel planning, weather analysis and forecasts for these locations, icing encounters and how to avoid them, flying over the Andes mountains, mechanical troubles and camaraderie between pilots from different countries.
