NOTE - DATE CHANGED TO THURSDAY MARCH 29th!

The attainment of an IA and the performance of the duties of that certificate greatly enhance the privileges and responsibilities of the Aviation Maintenance Technician (AMT). The IA permits the airframe and powerplant (A&P) mechanic to perform a greater variety of maintenance functions and alterations than any other single maintenance entity.

The determination of airworthiness during an inspection is a serious responsibility and for many general aviation aircraft, the annual inspection could be the only in-depth inspection it receives throughout the year.

The Boston FSDO and FAA Safety Team are offering this training event to provide local IA and AMT with the training an knowledge to increase the level of safety in aviation.

NOTE - This is Federal Facility and entry and security is similar to airport security. Please allow a few extra minutes to clear security and leave istems that will not pass through a metal detector at home.

Planned Topics include:

Owner/Operator Safety Issues

STC Approval Process

Alternative Fuels

Selected Legal Topics

Airworthiness Human Factors
