Brief Description:

In this presentation we'll be discussing findings and recommendations from the General Aviation Joint Steering Committee's System/Component Failure Work Group. You'll see and hear two expert panels - one comprised of Avaition Maintenance Professionals and the other consisting of Flight Instructors and Designated Pilot Examiners. They'll use a selected engine failure accident springboard for discussion of GA Maintenance and Operations considerations with respect to engine failure. The Maintenance Panel will be concerned with engine failure preventive measures and the Ops Panel will be discussing appropriate actions to take following an  engine failure. Hence:Engine Failure - Before and After.

Located on the Sarasota/Bradenton Airport off of North Tamiami Trail. I-75 to University Pkwy, west on University Pkwy to Tamiamai Trail. North on Tamiamai Trail then east onto Gen. Spaatz Blvd (Shell station on NE corner). Take first street on the left. Drive though hurricane fence & turn right into auditorium parking lot. Auditorium is adjacent to the passenger terminal.
