Brief Description:

The mission of the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is to work with citizens to conserve and manage the state's natural resources, to provide outdoor recreation opportunities, and to provide for commercial uses of natural resources in a way that creates a sustainable quality of life.  Captain Buker will discuss how aviation is used to meet this mission.  He will also discuss their SMS (Safety Management System).

Captain Buker has 8 year active duty with the US Army, and 23 years in law enforcement with 13 of those years with the MN DNR.
