Brief Description:

Mr. Paul Osterman, a 40 year Private, Commercial, Instrument certificated aviator...... and recently a brand new Advanced Ground Instructor  (AGI) will present a 90-minute seminar regarding FLYING TO THE MOUNTAIN AIRPORT OF WEAVERVILLE, CA...... ON A 100 degree day.  He will contrast and compare three different aircraft (performance considerations) as to the pilot in command decisions to make the flight or not.

Driving:  Please Google address.... park anywhere along the chain link fence, most parking available on the west side of the building.  Man Gate at the north end of the Q-hut, that is the entrance.

 

Flying:  Park on the west side of the airport, just south of the OPEN SHADE hangars... then walk west 300 feet to the QHut.

This will be the 128th monthly consecutive Safety Seminar at Benton airport since the inception of the new FAASTeam concept (some 12 years ago).  

EAA Chapter 157 has hosted William Hill (Lead FAA Team Rep) for 128 monthly events.  They provide coffee, donuts, chairs, PA system, projection equipment, set up, take down,...

Also, the Redding Jet Center donated a podium 11 years ago, that is utilized for each event.
