Additional Event Information & Acknowledgement of Industry Sponsor(s):

We encourage two-way participation and especially want to hear from you with a "cockpit perspective view" of your local area concerns.

After a string of near collisions on runways at various airports, the Federal Aviation Administration in 2007 called for action to prevent recurrences.  Since then, the annual numbers for the most serious category of surface incidents including runway incursions have dropped significantly.  Now, these and other risks on the ground again are receiving emphasis among U.S. Aviation experts.   Navigating the airport, with continual awareness to these “surface threats”, requires focusing on countering hazards present before takeoff and after touchdown.  We would also like to learn about your specific issues associated with operations at HWD, OAK, SQL, PAO, RHV, SJC,and CCR.  Featured Speakers will include the Chino Air Traffic Manager and Runway Safety Representatives from the region.

IF you’re flying into Livermore Municipal Airport (LVK) and attending this seminar please make and verify your own aircraft parking arrangements.  There could be charges, costs, or fees for parking depending on where you choose to park.  There may also be transportation fees by 3rd parties.  Ramp and aircraft parking space may become limited and different FBO's may charge for transportation or parking.  We wish to thank our host Ahart Aviation & Livermore Airport and the Livermore Tower.
