Brief Description:

During this event, pilots and industry experts will explore strategies to recognize and prevent 'Safety Drift' — the gradual, unintentional deviation from safe operating practices. Using a mock flight plan from Delaware Coastal (GED) to St. Mary’s County Regional (2W6), expert panels will break down situational awareness across three key areas: setting firm personal minimums preflight, managing EFB distractions and task saturation in the cockpit, and actively utilizing ATC as a vital safety partner. Attendees will also have the opportunity to engage directly with the panel during a live Q&A session. Panel topics will include:

  • Crafting the Perfect Flight Plan
  • The Start-to-Stop Mindset
  • The Role of Air Traffic Control
