Brief Description:

The National Airspace System is the backbone of our nation's aviation operations, a complex network that supports the safe and efficient movement of millions of flights each year. It encompassess everything from major international hubs to small regional airports, serving as the infrastructure that enables both commercial and general aviation to thrive. Over the years, the advancement in technology, increased demand for air travel, and the emergence of new types of aircraft, such as drones, and urban air mobility have prompted us to rethink and redesign some aspects of the NAS. These changes are crucial for maintaining safety, enhancing efficiency, and accommodating future growth.
