Topic:
The Flight Review and Wings

Speaker(s):
Tedra Derkovitz
Brief Description:

As instructors, we have a responsibility to continue our education so that we can effectively evaluate the performance and safety of students of all levels. Flying with certificated pilots who have been outside of the training world can present challenges to instructors who are accustomed to mostly flying with their own students. This presentation mainly discusses instructional best practices for conducting flight reviews. We will also review how the FAA Wings Pilot Proficiency Program both satisfies the flight review requirement and provides proficiency training. We encourage both new and experienced instructors alike to come out for a lively discussion to help make our skies a safer place to enjoy.
