Wake Up! And Avoid the Turbulence: Understanding the Dynamics and Best Practices of Avoiding Wake Turbulence

Join FAASTeam Representative, CFII, and Pearson Field flight instructor Brig Williams for a practical discussion of wake turbulence, including how vortices form, factors affecting their movement, common encounter scenarios, and proven avoidance techniques.

Special emphasis will be placed on Pearson Field's unique Part 93 airspace and procedures designed to help reduce wake turbulence exposure and other operational risks associated with flying near Portland International Airport.
