Join us as Paul Mehrlich, Chief Executive Officer of the Gainesville–Alachua County Regional Airport Authority, provides a behind-the-scenes look at the future of Gainesville Regional Airport and the projects that will directly impact local pilots.

This presentation will cover the next steps in the Airport Master Planning process, the planning and operational considerations of converting an existing runway into a legacy runway, and major upcoming airside and landside capital improvement projects—including a new General Aviation terminal and primary runway reconstruction.

Paul Mehrlich is the Chief Executive Officer of the Gainesville–Alachua County Regional Airport Authority. With decades of airport leadership experience, he has overseen airport operations, strategic planning, capital improvement projects, FAA compliance, and regional air service development. His work focuses on ensuring the safe, efficient, and sustainable growth of Gainesville Regional Airport.

Ferdinand Paul Mehrlich III, Commercial Instrument Pilot MEL, Private Pilot Privilages SEL, MBA,  A.A.E., ACE, IACE, is the Chief Executive Officer of the Gainesville–Alachua County Regional Airport Authority. His aviation career began as a lineman for Utah Valley University Aviation in Provo, Utah, and has since spanned leadership roles at both commercial service and general aviation airports. He previously served as Executive Director of Aviation at Texarkana Regional Airport.  Mehrlich is an Accredited Airport Executive (A.A.E.) and holds ACE and IACE certifications. He is also a commercial pilot with multi-engine land and instrument ratings and is a veteran of the U.S Navy.  His expertise includes airport operations, strategic planning, capital development, FAA compliance, and organizational leadership. Throughout his career, he has led award-winning airport projects, secured significant grant funding, and advanced initiatives that strengthen airport infrastructure, economic development, and regional air service.

This presentation offers a unique opportunity to hear directly from the CEO of Gainesville Regional Airport about the future of KGNV.
