From I-40 take Aviation Blvd to the RDU airport, this turns into the John Brantley Blvd, stay in the left lane as you go past Terminal #1. Once you pass Terminal 1, then turn right onto W International Dr then turn right onto N Ramp Dr and take the second right which is Sawyer Circle and the gate to the RDU ATCT will be at the end of Sawyer Circle.

Runway incursions remain a serious concern nationally. One important component of our ongoing efforts to improve surface safety at RDU Airport involves conducting a Runway Safety Action Team (RSAT) meeting at least once each year. The purpose of this RSAT meeting is to unite those individuals and organizations that are actively involved in air traffic operations and the movement of aircraft, vehicles, and equipment on the Airport Operations Area (AOA). We look for participation from all major airport interests including tenants, fixed base operators, airport operations, and maintenance personnel. Participants are asked to help develop recommendations and solutions to enhance surface safety. Those recommendations serve as the foundation for a site-specific Runway Safety Action Plan. Your participation and input are important and welcomed.
