Winter in Wisconsin presents unique challenges for Plane and Pilot alike. Engines love the denser air and pilots enjoy smoother rides. However, what are small irritants in the summer can become full-blown emergencies on a really cold day. This seminar is meant as a refresher for experienced pilots and an introduction to winter flying for new pilots.
We will discuss the following aspects of winter flying:
1. Plane - care, performance, hazards
2. Pilot - planning, training, and survival
3. Environment - weather, sources of information
You will gain alot of knowledge from our experienced staff of Flight Instructors to make winter flying safer and more enjoyable for you and your passengers.
