Mr. Hanson is a Colorado native who grew up in Fort Collins, CO. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Northern Colorado before enrolling in Aims Community College’s professional pilot program. After graduating from the professional pilot program, he worked for the college as a flight instructor. In 2010 he was appointed as the chief flight instructor for the Aims Community College Part 141 program. He held the chief instructor position for five years before taking a job with the FAA as an Aviation Safety Inspector (ASI). For the past nine years he has worked for the Denver FSDO as a General Aviation (GA) Operations ASI. He started his current position as FAASTeam Program Manager for Operations in September 2024.
