In this 2 hour seminar, Bruce Thompson, local Designated Pilot Examiner (DPE), will present about the duties and responsibilities of being an FAA DPE.
This event will give all pilots, especially Instructors, a look at the missed steps when preparing an applicant for the check ride. This seminar will convey to applicants and Instructors, the expectations of the DPE and touch on situations where the Instructors have not thoroughly prepared their applicants for the check-ride. In addition, the importance of understanding the Airman Certification Standard and its part within the safety management system (SMS) will be discussed. The WINGS program and Pilot Proficiency will be detailed to help your journey for continuing education.
