Title:
Y Tho? ATC Practices Explained - Eddie Trujillo - Chicago 99s Aviation Expo 2025
Topic:
“Y Tho?” ATC Practices Explained, Eddie Trujillo
Speaker(s):
Eddie Trujillo, ATC
Brief Description:
Flying IFR requires a lot of communication. If you know what's happening on the other side of the mic, and we're all speaking the same language, things flow fast and easily. On the other hand... miss a beat and the window closes, I've got to move on. O'Hare is doing 100 operations an hour. Six arrivals and three departures later, I'm going to try again with you; let's hope we can get it right this time. Knowing what to expect will make that dialog successful but miss it again and... well, you get the idea, rinse, repeat.
