This forum is an all-encompassing discussion on turbulence including types of turbulence and where they most frequently encountered, risks associated with turbulence to general aviation pilots, methods and challenges for measuring and forecasting turbulence, a history of advances and successes in transitioning FAA turbulence research into operational use, and ongoing research to enhance turbulence observations, forecasts, and nowcasts for general aviation as well as commercial airlines.

The FAA Safety Center is centrally located on the EAA AirVenture grounds on the South side of the control tower. We are the large tan building with the rooftop deck facing the runway. Forums entrance is on the west side of the building.
