Title:
Emergencies - Communication Between Controllers and Pilots
Topic:
Emergencies: Communication Between Pilots And Controllers
Date and Time:
Tuesday, February 27, 2024, starting at 19:00 Central Standard Time Download Calendar File
Speaker(s):
Holly Cron and John Henry Perez, NATCA Pilot/Controllers Outreach Reps
Brief Description:

Holly Cron, FAASTeam Service Provider and Houston ARTCC NATCA Controller/Pilot, and John Henry Perez, Houston TRACON NATCA Controller/Pilot, will be giving pilots of all experience levels, from student to professional, another opportunity to learn from and interact with some of our controllers.

Pilots want to avoid any emergency situations.  If an emergency does occur, second only to aviating comes communicating.  This seminar will cover communications with ATC, and the responsibilities and procedures for both ATC and pilots during emergencies.  The discussion will review material from the FARs and AIM regarding emergencies and will correlate it to ATC responsibilities of which we, as pilots, may not be aware.

Join us in another unique opportunity to get to know the people behind the voices on the radio! This is approximately a 1.5 hour program.
