Each airport and region has special challenges. The Ventura County 99s want to encourage all Ninety-Nines to consider making the next section meeting a fly-in destination!

Follow along as Barb, Ventura County 99 and CFI, will discuss planning and preparing for your flight into the Reno, Nevada area for the Spring Southwest Section Meeting. Topics will include:

  • Getting there -- the unique elements of terrain, weather and safe routing
  • Landing/departing -- density altitude considerations and aircraft performance
  • Personal minimus -- day versus night arrival/departure, local area considerations, IFR versus VFR

Currently the target airport for this seminar is Carson City.
