Event Details and Registration

What can we, as aircraft owners and/or maintainers, do when an unavoidable event prevents the timely completion of a required aircraft inspection. That is one purpose for the On-Line Application of the AWC Applicant Portal. During this seminar, we will review the steps needed to secure a Special Airworthiness Certificate (Special Flight Permit aka "Ferry Permit") and what privileges are provided by securing one. We will also discuss and review FAR requirements for Aircraft Inspections and the need for an Advanced Aircraft Preflight after Maintenance/Inspection.

Representatives of the Tampa FAA FSDO (Flight Standards District Office) will be available and will participate in this seminar and discussion.

I-4 to Exit 17, Branch Forbes Road, Head South on Branch Forbes Rd to the 1st traffic light, US-92; Turn left on US-92, go to 1st traffic light, Turkey Creek Rd; Turn right on Turkey Creek; go through the traffic light at East Martin Luther King Blvd (State Road 574) cross the railroad tracks and turn left at Airport Road, the 1st road to the left; Plant City Airport is on the right. Check in at the FBO office for directions to the Seminar meeting room.

Pilots of all experience levels are welcome: Student pilots, Newly Rated pilots, Experienced pilots, Rusty pilots and especially Flight Instructors. Aircraft mechanics and maintainers are also welcome to attend. Non-pilots that are interested in aviation and aviation safety are welcome as well. The WINGS Seminars at Plant City Airport are held as organized "Hangar Flying" with participation by everyone. The primary focus is on building a safety consciousness among pilots and aviation enthusiasts.

WINGS credit is available for this seminar. To receive WINGS credit for attending, please register at www.faasafety.gov. By registering online, you ensure that the credit you earn by attending is correctly applied to you. When you attend the program, a WINGS sign-in sheet will be available, at the registration desk, for you to Initial your name. To receive WINGS credit, you must have an email address registered on www.faasafety.gov. If you do not currently have a www.faasafety.gov account, please create one as soon as possible after the seminar. Be sure that you use the same email address for your account and to register for this, and other, WINGS events.
