Brief Description:

What can we, as aircraft owners and/or maintainers, do when an unavoidable event prevents the timely completion of a required aircraft inspection. That is one purpose for the On-Line Application of the AWC Applicant Portal. During this seminar, we will review the steps needed to secure a Special Airworthiness Certificate (Special Flight Permit aka "Ferry Permit") and what privileges are provided by securing one. We will also discuss and review FAR requirements for Aircraft Inspections and the need for an Advanced Aircraft Preflight after Maintenance/Inspection.

Representatives of the Tampa FAA FSDO (Flight Standards District Office) will be available and will participate in this seminar and discussion.
