Brief Description:

September 17 & 18 are the dates for Mountain West UAS's 11th UAS Roundup.  We will preview the focus topic of near-term challenges facing the industry.

Mountain West UAS brings together owners, operators and interested parties in an informal and social atmosphere to discuss drones, their legal and safe operation and positive benefits to society.

From the intersection of US Highways 285 & 24 in Johnson Village, Colorado, go north on US 24 about one mile and turn west on Steel Drive.  The first left turn is Chaffee County Road 319.  The terminal building is to the left, and the conference room is on the second floor.

We're back meeting after the summer!  We'll get caught up on member activities and then have a preview of Mountain West UAS's premier public outreach event - the UAS Roundup.

This year's event focuses on the near-term challenges facing the industry including public acceptance, drone security/foreign manufactured equipment and the elephant in the room, Remote ID!

We'll have a brief look at these topics and get back to our normal monthly routine!

Small Unmanned Aerial Systems (sUAS) are becoming more commonplace in all areas of the country.

The regular meetings of Mountain West UAS are intended to bring sUAS owners, operators and interested parties together discuss many aspects of UAS.  Our typical agenda includes the following:

  • Recent News and Developments in the industry
  • Legal and Legislative activities pertinent to UAS operations
  • A safety or educational topic
  • Networking and socialization
