Title:
Advanced Preflight and Preflight After Maintenance
Topic:
Stay Informed About What Maintenance is Being Performed on Your Aircraft During Inspection or Repair.
Date and Time:
Friday, May 20, 2022, starting at 11:00 Mountain Daylight Time Download Calendar File
Speaker(s):
Richard Jeffs (SLC-FSDO FAASTeam Program Manager)
Brief Description:

Did you know that maintenance-related problems are one of the most deadly causes of accidents in general aviation? Contributing to this is a pilot’s failure to identify maintenance discrepancies because of a lack of knowledge and improper techniques used during the preflight of the aircraft. Come on out for a discussion concerning mistakes during aircraft maintenance and the possible effects of those mistakes on the aircraft and pilot during flight. Several aircraft events relating to improper maintenance will be discussed along with one in depth event that fortunately did not end in an accident!
