The tools & technology available to GA pilots have changed significantly over the last few years, but have GA pilots evolved with them? This presentation takes an in depth look at how weather & weather interpretation has plagued GA pilots over the years and what we can collectively do to reverse the trend. Speaker, Jeff Arnold, is a graduate of Oklahoma State University, has held a flight instructor certificate for 15 years, previously served as Program Manager for two large Flight Academies, taught Aviation Meteorology & Ground School at a local Community College, and is a former Flight Service Weather Briefer & Operations Manager. Jeff currently serves as the Director of Innovation & Outreach for Leidos Flight Service.

The Operation Skyhook Fly-In event attracts pilots from around the US for Memorial Day Weekend.  BPA, Inc. Member Chapters arrive for a weekend of fun, aviation comradery, and serious flying competition.  The majority of competitors own their aircraft and they take great pride in showing off their most prized possession.  The event draws a tremendous number of spectators from the surrounding area, and generous BPA, Inc. Members volunteer to give airplane rides - "Young Eagle Flights" - to hundreds of enthusiastic kids.  Some original Tuskegee Airman attend Skyhook @ KPBF.
