Brief Description:

This is the monthly meeting of the Louisville IMC Club. At this meeting a new Instrument flying scenario will be presented and discussed. Through its nationwide chapters in association with EAA, IMC Club provides organized “hangar flying” focused on building proficiency in instrument flying believing that safety and proficiency are developed through education and experience. Monthly meetings use real world scenarios at each meeting to engage our members and allow them to share and build their experience. You do not have to be instrument rated to attend.

Additional Event Information & Acknowledgement of Industry Sponsor(s):

The purpose of  the IMC Club is to promote instrument flying, proficiency and safety.  Along with IFR flying, we have monthly chapter meetings where pilots can network and share knowledge and experiences to promote safety and build proficiency within the IFR system.

Bring your thoughts or stories and be willing to share them with the group. This meeting is very interactive. Participation by the group is a key element to the IMC Club meeting.

Others have found it helpful to bring along a copy of their flight manual, GPS manual and charts. If you navigate with an iPad, bring it along.

Who can attend?
You don’t need an instrument rating to attend. This meeting is open to all current, non-current, and future instrument pilots.
