CFIT, Controlled Flight into Terrain, is one of the deadliest and most frequent General Aviation accident causes. According to the FAA, during a typical year there are around 40 CFIT accidents, about half of which are fatal.
Pilots of all experience levels are welcome including; Student pilots, Newly Rated pilots, Experienced pilots, Rusty pilots and CFI's. Non-pilots that are interested in aviation and aviation safety are also welcome to attend. The FAASTeam Seminars at KPCM are held as organized "Hangar Flying with the focus on building a safety consciousness among pilots. Since these seminars are part of the FAA Safety Program, they provide informative presentations along with WINGS credit. All that is required to attend is a desire to be a safe pilot.
