Title:
NAFI 2025 - Energy Management for GA - At the PPC Education Center
Topic:
Energy Management Training Applies to Everyone
Speaker(s):
Bryan Kuklinski
Brief Description:
Loss of control accidents are often related to improper energy management. Runway excursions and stall/spin accidents are examples of mismanaged energy. We will discuss energy awareness and practical applications of energy management; describe an Energy Bowl concept and Stabilized Approach concept. The discussion will include runway turnaround project critical information; dispel the myth that a runway return after an engine failure on takeoff is possible above a certain altitude. Energy management training applies to everyone, Private Pilot to ATP, and is applicable to any aircraft you fly.
PRESENTED DURING THE EAA AIRVENTURE FLY-IN. NO FEE FOR THE NAFI PRESENTATIONS, BUT AN ENTRANCE FEE IS REQUIRED BY EAA AIRVENTURE TO ENTER THE GROUNDS.
