Title:
NAFI 2025 - Risk Management and Training - At the PPC Education Center
Topic:
The 'Safety Formula' That Can Help You Assess Risk
Date and Time:
Monday, July 21, 2025, starting at 14:00 Central Daylight Time Download Calendar File
Speaker(s):
Rob Montgomery
Brief Description:

Why are some pilots prone to emergencies, while others live a charmed life? Why do some pilots always know what to do while others struggle with abnormal situations? Is the difference in the pilot, or is it in the training and preparation? In this presentation, we’ll discuss the “safety formula” that can help you assess risk, while recognizing the illusions that make risk management challenging. We’ll also dive into the “FADE” checklist for risk management training, that helps you predict and prevent unsafe conditions. Finally, we’ll apply the FADE method to real world threats in a way that promotes safety

PRESENTED DURING THE EAA AIRVENTURE FLY-IN.  NO FEE FOR THE NAFI PRESENTATIONS, BUT AN ENTRANCE FEE IS REQUIRED BY EAA AIRVENTURE TO ENTER THE GROUNDS.
