Additional Event Information & Acknowledgement of Industry Sponsor(s):

We would like to thank PNE ATC Tower and Chubb Aviation for their interest in aviation and helping to spread safety awareness!

Gain practical insights, sharpen your skills, and get a behind-the-scenes look at corporate aviation. Ask questions, connect with local instructors, students, controllers, and aviation professionals, and enjoy some pizza along the way. The event is presented in conjunction with the FAASTeam, and WINGS credit is available.

Event Highlights:

  • You Can Always Go-Around: (Presentation by Kevin Laufer - FAAST team rep / Chubb Director of Aviation - 20 Minutes) Stabilized Approaches, CRM, and the Go-Around Decision - A safe landing begins with a stabilized approach and a willingness to go around when it isn’t. Using FAA guidance and real-world lessons, this presentation examines the warning signs of an unstable approach, effective CRM and communication, and the decisions that lead pilots to continue or go around. Most importantly, we’ll discuss how instructors can build a culture where going around is viewed not as a failure, but as sound aeronautical decision-making.
  • Do’s and Don’ts Presentation (PNE Tower Controllers - 30-45 Minutes): Get insider tips from local controllers on operating safely and efficiently in the PNE airspace. Learn about airspace hotspots, challenges in the PNE/TTN corridor, and ways to enhance pilot-controller communication, all presented in a positive, constructive atmosphere.
  • Interactive Q&A Session: Have burning questions about ATC procedures? This open discussion lets you ask directly and gain clarity, fostering collaboration between pilots and controllers.
  • Free Pizza while networking with fellow pilots, instructors, and ATC professionals.
