Brief Description:
In conjunction with Airport Management, CAK Air Traffic cordially invites you to be part of our Runway Safety Action Team. We look forward to participation from all interested parties including airlines, tenants, fixed base operators, flight schools, airport operations, and maintenance personnel. Our focus this fall is ATC equipment, airfield layout and flow, increases to traffic and the impact it has, controller staffing, and weather. Along with the focus items, we will cover information to include national statistics, local incidents, seasonal good-to-know information, and up-coming events. Participants are asked to help develop recommendations and solutions to enhance surface safety at our airport. Those recommendations serve as the foundation for a site-specific Runway Safety Action Plan that is shared with all who attend. Your participation is valuable, important, and your input is welcomed.
