Title:
Beyond the Envelope - Upset Recovery Lessons from Cirrus Accidents
Topic:
Review Cirrus Accident Case Studies and Learn Upset Prevention and Recovery Techniques for all General Aviation Pilots!
Brief Description:
Recent Cirrus accident data continues to reveal familiar safety themes, including loss of control, stalls, and spins that can occur when pilots inadvertently exceed the normal flight envelope. This seminar will examine key findings from recent accident data and connect them to the principles of upset prevention and recovery, including spin awareness and expanded-envelope training. Examples will be drawn from an upcoming upset recovery training curriculum to illustrate how structured, scenario-based instruction can improve pilot proficiency. Whether you fly a Cirrus or another general aviation aircraft, you'll gain practical insights into how scenario-based training can strengthen decision-making, improve aircraft control, and help prevent loss-of-control accidents. Join the PRP pilot community on September 9 as we turn lessons learned into safer flying.
