Brief Description:
What would you do if a passenger—or another pilot—suddenly experienced a life-threatening medical emergency in flight? While pilots spend countless hours preparing for mechanical failures and adverse weather, medical emergencies often receive far less attention. Yet a medical event involving a pilot, passenger, or crewmember can rapidly become a critical safety issue requiring immediate action.
This seminar examines the human factors, aeromedical considerations, and emergency response principles that every pilot should understand. Attendees will discuss pilot incapacitation, passenger medical events, decision making under stress, communication, resource management, emergency equipment, and the role of CPR and other life-saving measures when professional medical assistance may be minutes or even hours away.

Preparation, training, and an understanding of human performance can significantly improve outcomes and provide pilots with the confidence to respond effectively during an emergency.

What to Bring:
Please bring something to take notes with (pencil and paper recommended). The seminar is held inside an airplane hangar, so we recommend wearing light, comfortable clothing, as temperatures may become warm during the presentation.
About the Speaker:
Jill Dressel - Owner and trainer of CASE Training Academy, FAASTeam training provider, certified Red Cross instructor, and aviation safety professional with more than 26 years of experience in commercial and corporate aviation. Her experience in cabin safety, emergency preparedness, crew coordination, and passenger care provides valuable insight into managing emergencies in high-risk environments.
